Ross School hosted its 5th Annual Golf with The New York KNICKS on June 10th in Bridgehampton at The Bridge Golf Course. Event Chairs Andy Boyland, Vyto Kab, Gregg Maloberti, Toni Sacconaghi didn’t let the rain hold them up AT ALL! Current Knicks Player J.R. Smith teed off the fundraiser where Legends John Wallace, Larry Johnson and John Starks were all in the lineup for the star-studded round. Current assistant coaches Herb Williams and Jerry Dunn were on hand as well and Knicks staffers Troy Bowers and Brendan Callahan too.
Some of the VIPs included Scott Roskind, Dr. Mark Creighton, Paul Insalaco, Kimberly & Stephen Bollenbach, Louis Meisel, Bill Grathwohl, Greg Lisi, Robert Vilensky, Sy Flug, Brad Butler and Harry Hackett braved the weather and showed full support for Ross. Who wouldn’t want to be rubbing elbows with all these great hoop stars out on the course?! The New York Knicks golf outing raised nearly $44,000 for Ross School programs and scholarships, including the Steven J. Ross Scholarship Fund, which helps ensure that children from all economic backgrounds benefit from a world-class Ross education. The super star event hosted at the exclusive Bridge Golf Course was attended by 56 golfers including celebrated members of the New York Knicks family.
Golfers were treated to a continental breakfast in the clubhouse, followed by an 18-hole round tournament. Afterwards, a cocktail reception and awards ceremony allowed guests to mingle and gave several of the golfers’ children a chance to meet their Knicks idols. In addition, trophies were distributed to the following winners of the day: Prem Parameswaran, David Walsh, Mel Yellin, Valinda Valcich (who won two awards), and Harry Hackett. Attendees bid on auction items that included signed Knicks jerseys and basketballs, as well as custom jewelry, and fine art. The event was sponsored by HINT Water, The Baker House and East End Limousine. ross.org
