Josef Pricci started his career designing jewelry. His firm became very
successful, selling to Cartier, Van Cleef and Tiffany & Company. Josef
designed classic jewelry which was striking in his new approach to the use
of semi-precious stones. When he became a decorator, this ability to put
things together in new ways became his forte. He believes blue-and-white
porcelain is a necessary addition to any room. Dogs in paintings, on
needlepoint pillows, on just about anything, punctuate his well bred
interiors. For Josef, English furniture is the backbone of a marvelous room.
He appreciates its design purity and is attracted to its sense of
history.
