A native of Boston, Donald Schermerhorn has been an interior designer for
the past 18 years. Prior to opening Schermerhorn Interior Design, Donald was
involved with several prominent design firms and participated in various
Showhouses including Kips Bay 1993. He's very happy to include Rogers
Memorial Library to this roster.
The Guest Cottage Kitchen is an exercise in using common materials in
uncommon ways. River rock, concrete, gravel, Venetian stucco, burlap and
maple combine to create a textural foil for stainless steel and black glass.
Donald believes that reflection and refraction of light are the essence of
an interesting room.
