The 2005 School Art Festival February 6 through March 6 For more than fifty years, The Parrish Art Museum has reserved a spot in its annual exhibition schedule for school artwork. These vibrant exhibitions cover the gallery walls floor-to-ceiling with hundreds of pieces by area students. In 2005, The Parrish will present two student art exhibitions, one featuring the work of students in elementary and middle schools and a second highlighting young artists from the region's high schools. This year's School Art Festival promises to be as lively as ever, with works ranging from the artistic explorations of pre-schoolers to the work of middle school art students. The Parrish is pleased to open the exhibition to public and private schools in Southold Township this year, in addition to schools from Riverhead and Southampton Townships. Participants in the 2005 School Art Festival include Riverhead Central School District, Southampton Public Schools, Sag Harbor School District, Sagaponack School, Bridgehampton School, Mattituck-Cutchogue School Distict, Hampton Bays School District, Tuckahoe School, Westhampton Beach Schools, New Suffolk School, Our Lady of the Hamptons, Hampton Day School, the Hayground School, Southampton Montessori School, Quogue School, Stella Maris Regional School, Remsenberg-Speonk Elementary School, East Quogue Elementary School, Southold School District, The Children's School, and Once Upon a Day Care and Pre-School, among others. |
