Peter Matthiessen
Peter Matthiessen, writer, naturalist, and explorer,
is the author of six novels, including At Play in the Fields of the
Lord (a National Book Award nominee), KillingMr Watson, and
Far Tortuga. His numerous works of non-fiction include The Snow
Leopard, for which he received the National Book Award, The Tree
Where Man Was Born, In the Spirit of Crazy Horse and, most recently,
African Silences.
