Kathryn Szoka

Ms. Szoka is currently working as a free-lance commercial and fine art photographer. Her commercial work includes portraiture, architectural interiors, and landscape.

Her fine art work includes the series, documenting the farmlands of the northeastern states; and the Americana series, capturing moments and images of rural America. Over the last several years years she has pursued a number of other projects ranging from video productions to commercial books on style. Previously, Ms. Szoka had worked in the computer graphics field for twelve years. A self-taught photographer, her career change was made to pursue her passion for photography and her desire to chronicle a passing way of life.

Kathryn is in the process of developing several additional projects which use the Polaroid Image and Emulsion Transfer processes, as well as other alternative techniques. Frequently, she frames her images in old barn wood or windows which complement the work's aesthetic. She works out of her studios on eastern Long Island and the coast of Maine.
