Director: Darren Stein Three recent college graduates (Jamie Kennedy, Steven Petrarca, and Freddie Prinze, Jr.) are heading to Las Vegas to win enough money to pay back rent when their car breaks down in sleepy Victorville. Waiting for Triple A, they meet Melba (Park Overall), a trailer-park princess who is convinced they are the "three kings" her psychic friend predicted would change her life. So she leaves her two-timing husband and sets out after the boys with notions of stardom dancing in her head. Along the way, she tracks down an old friend Dottie (Veronica Cartwright), now a bottom-of-the-barrel stripper, who joins her on her quest. Back in Victorville, Melba's husband Flint (Don Harvey) is awakened by the Prize Patrol announcing that Melba has won a million dollars. The only catch: Melba must claim the money within 72 hours or all will be lost. By the time everyone crosses paths in Darren Stein's madcap comedy, a few tears have been shed, but Melba has gained her independence and new friends along the way. |
