Lois lives in the suburbs with her workaholic husband and teen-age daughter. She plays Mah Jongg every week with her girlfriends, but the routine is beginning to wear thin. Lois wants more out of life. She lives vicariously through the romance novels she's addicted to, and fantasizes about the handsome, young gardener raking her front yard. One day, Lois wins a radio contest and receives two all-expense-paid plane tickets to Spain. The tickets are a catalyst for change, and Lois gets up the nerve to approach the gardener with whom she hopes to escape.
