Another visually dazzling portrayal of a distorted parallel universe by the
directors of Delicatessen (1991), this wild futuristic fantasy follows the
adventures of a gentle giant who teams up with a resourceful, nine-year-old
"femme fatale" in a frantic effort to save his adopted younger brother from
the clutches of an evil scientist intent upon stealing the boy's dreams.
Eye-popping sets, ingenious special effects and costumes by Jean-Paul
Gaultier combine to make City of Lost Children the most astonishing visual
feast since Terry Gilliam's "Brazil".
